The other day I was at a meeting, I didn’t know I was walking into what seemed like a NA meeting. Sobriety Group has a long tradition of keeping with AA’s singleness of purpose, but every now and then a meeting seems to get off track and turn mainly to drugs. As an alcoholic I have trouble identifiying. I understand that many people getting sober are addicts and alcoholics, but Please try to respect AA. There are actual NA meetings close by if you need to get specific about your drug. I Love AA, it saved my life. Many of us still need to relate to being powerless when it comes to alcohol, and YES there are still some newcomers who are plain alcoholics. Keep coming back, but stick to alcohol. Respect the traditions. Our sobriety and our lives depend on it.
